Abbots Wood Class
Welcome to Abbots Wood. We are a wonderful KS2 Class who uses a bespoke curriculum, tailored to the individual needs of each student. We value and appreciate and celebrate each other’s unique qualities.
We provide a total communication environment where the spoken word is supported by Makaton Signs and Visual aids such as symbols and Grid Player on the iPad.
Independent living skills are an important part of our curriculum and are supported in everyday activities such as Food Technology and PE as well as one focused lesson each week. We have access from our classroom straight onto the playground.
We like to experience the world around us and our curriculum in a practical way so plenty of spare clothing is really appreciated.
We are Abbots Wood where we learn, play, and thrive together on our own unique journey at Sandside Lodge School.
