What we do…..
As a SENCo team we work closely with families and professionals to ensure all students needs are met through their Education, Health and Care Plan. We work together liaising with all agencies involved to ensure students are challenged in order to achieve their goals and aspirations across all areas of life.
We hold all Annual Review Meetings in school. These are held every Thursday as we are also Assistant Headteachers in school. Gemma supports all Lower school students and Rebecca support Upper School students. For more information on the EHCP process please follow this link to the webpage.
Support for admissions and new students…..
Gemma and Rebecca liaise with prospective students and their families throughout the school year. We offer a warm welcome to all who are considering a placement at Sandside and offer school show arounds.

We also support the transition process once a placement is confirmed, ensuring visits are made to a students current school and that the student gets transition visits to our school before starting full time. We ensure all information is passed to the students new teacher to make for a positive and successful transition to our school are
