Ofsted visited us on Tuesday 12th September 2017. Here are some examples of what they had to say. Download full report.

The full report and previous reports are on Ofsted's site here.

The Ofsted judgement reflects the dedication and vision of the previous headteacher, Susan Gill, who worked tirelessly to improve all aspects of the school.

Whilst it is heartening that Ofsted have recognised the work we all do our main source of pride and reward still comes from the daily interactions with our students who are a credit to the school.

"For many parents the decision to move their child to Sandside Lodge, while one of the hardest, has in hindsight been one of their best."

"..parents feel they are a valued part of their children's education."

"..pupils take part in myriad clubs, including yoga, gardening and cycling. Older pupils take part in local music festivals, a trip to Auschwitz and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award."

"Sandside Lodge is a hive of activity."

"The school is a calm and orderly environment."

"Teachers have high expectations of every pupil in their classes, accept no excuses and make sure that not a moment is wasted."

"From their very first days at Sandside Lodge students 'blossom'"
